Other example is very clear and he uses the sources to compare them and connect them from the overall argument. He evaluated the sources and identified limitations of the sources she had used which worked really well.

Dont go crazy with quotes just evaluate specific aspects that help you summarise your key findings that link to your research.


Find gaps in knowledge 

who are you looking at for this specifically 

  • Desirable to first identify an apparent gap in knowledge
  • Then develop your research proposal in that area
  • E.g., in reviewing the literature onTikTok and fast fashion, you note that most research has focused on teenage girls and most of it is quantitative
  • Idea: Examine the impact of TikTok on fast fashion purchasing behaviour of university students, using a mixed methods approach, addressing the gap in knowledge.
Do the algorithms in music streaming platforms, such as Spotify, limit the discoverablity of music for users aged between 18-25, through machine learning and personally crafted playlist that are suited for each users specific needs?
